Matthew & Rachael McNeil
To say that Uplands Reach has played a significant role in Matthew and Rachael's lives is an understatement. The McNeils met while serving at an Uplands camp--she as an Intern and he as a volunteer. They fell in love and got engaged after serving subsequent summers with URCC. In May 2008, they were married by their boss, Neal Hatfield, and joined the Uplands Team as full-time Staff. They have three lovely childdren, Kate, Cora, and Joel.
While Rachael works as a non-stop wife and mom, Matthew’s primary stewardship at the Conference Center is directing the office operations. He also directs the Uplands Reach Leadership Institute, URCC’s summer internship, and Rugged Spirituality, the wilderness division of Uplands Reach. Matthew and Rachael are passionate about equipping believers to do the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:12) through evangelism and discipleship.
