Camp Testimonials

I have been a Christian since July 3, 2015. I got saved at Uplands Reach on the last day of Teen Camp. I asked the Lord to come into my heart because I realized I wasn’t saved. I thought I had been saved for years, but I realized that I was living in sin and was extremely far away from Christ. I spoke with Neal and Sue the night before I made my decision. They told me to read the Romans Road and really listen to what God was saying to me. The next day we were in JAM time. I was reading Romans 5:1, and it hit me. I had never had peace or ever felt like I was good enough. When we were called to the stage, I ran to Sue and told her that I wanted to be saved. She brought me outside, and I asked the Lord to be my everything and take over my life. It was the best decision I have ever made.

The ministry of Neal and Sue Hatfield extends far beyond the Uplands Reach Conference Center. They are true servants of those who serve the church. Neal's preaching has inspired vision and evangelism each time we have hosted him. I was in my new church after sixteen years in one location and his messages helped me to set a tone of momentum and truth that, five months later, is still framing my ministry. (20 baptisms in eight months in a church with 100 in attendance!) Parents were baptized with children. Backbiting and fear all but disappeared. Life and focus came to a place that had been scattered for lack of a Shepherd. Revival is real and the Lord is not finished with country churches! The one word I would like to share about Neal is: trustworthy. He is always prepared and sensitive to the atmosphere and prompting of the Holy Spirit. He will bring passion to your meetings and leave pride at the door. Your teens (like ours) will beg to go to his camps so they can catch the enthusiasm Neal has for Christ. You will find his camp to be anointed and prayed over, the grounds homey and not overly institutional. If you are struggling with ministry and need prayer partners, you can find no better than Neal and Sue. They have a habit of building into lives. I encourage pastors to take advantage of Neal's multifaceted ministry. Your church will grow and God will smile!

Thank you for letting us come to URCC. We had fun shooting guns and bows-and-arrows. We had fun riding horses and playing in the pond. We liked the marshmallows too. We had great fun!

I just want to let you know what a blessing you all are. My daughter attended Junior Camp this week, and when she came home the first day she was already asking if she could come back next year. She has had such a wonderful time and has come home every night very excited to tell us all she has learned. We can’t thank you enough for giving our child this opportunity. When my younger daughter is old enough, I know she will enjoy it just as much.
